Obsessed with fast pre-War cars from an early age, it was clear that most of the ‘good stuff’ was always going to be too expensive!. As a teenager it started to become clear that the Americans had it right in the 50s; if you can’t afford the exotic stuff, build something with what you have to hand.

 

Very much a long-term project and Julian’s personal car, period-correct parts have been sourced from around the world over many years with a view to make the car 50s-period-correct but with the ability to be driven regularly and for long hours as a priority and of course the VHRA Pendine Beach Races.

 

As such the roadster features some of the best authentic period modifications and an ultra-rare Lincoln 317 OHV Y-block V8 for motivation.
